A note about H1N1
21-Jun-2009
As you are no doubt aware the number of H1N1 cases worldwide is growing rapidly. It seems likely that the number of cases in New Zealand will also grow.
TVNZ has contacted us as they would like to increase awareness about online services such as Food Direct that can help contain H1N1. Experts such as virologist Lance Jennings recommend avoiding busy crowded public places when possible and stocking up on essentials just in case you become house bound.
In most cases H1N1 has similar symptoms to a bad flu and similar outcomes in terms of recovery. However in a few cases the consequences can be more serious. To read more about H1N1 and how to avoid it please click on the following link.

In the event that you do have H1N1 symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has H1N1 symptoms, we would appreciate it if you would let us know by making a note in the delivery instruction form at check out. We will of course deliver to you in any event, but would prefer to simply leave your groceries at your door rather than carry them into the kitchen as we usually do.
